Be Catholic! It’s Real! It’s True! The apostles were Catholic. Why not you?
Are you, or someone you know, interested in being baptized Catholic?
Were you baptized in another faith and are curious about Catholicism?
Were you baptized in the Catholic Church but have not received the sacraments of the Eucharist and/or Confirmation?
RCIA can help.
What is RCIA?
The Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults is the opportunity for adults to explore the Catholic faith, its history and doctrine.
Yes, but, what IS it?
RCIA is a series of meetings offered every Sunday morning, from 8:30-9:50 starting on September 13. Sessions will continue through June, although times may change due to virus considerations. The meetings are designed to introduce the basics of the Church, to answer questions and to engage in dialogue.
Is it like taking a class?
Sort of. We do have a structure, i.e. an agenda, for each session. Topics are based on the most common questions that people have about Catholicism. However, our goal is to meet the needs and questions of the participants first.
Is there a cost?
No. Although you may want to buy a Bible if you don’t have one (NAV-New American Version).
Who are the teachers?
All volunteers who love the Catholic Church. Many are converts from other faiths.
How do I get started?
Email rcia@standrewcatholic.com to let us know that you’re interested, or call/text our RCIA facilitator, Linda Spudic, at 770-641-9720 x266 with your contact information. She will contact you by phone and answer any questions you may have.
